Privacy Policy

Throwracle is a daily rock-paper-scissors puzzle, available as a web app at
throwracle.vvkh.dev and as a Discord bot
(the /throwracle slash command). This policy covers both.
What we collect
Web app: nothing is sent to a server. Your streak, stats, and
today's in-progress game are stored only in your browser's local storage
(localStorage), under the key throwracle. Clearing your
browser data deletes it. We don't use cookies, analytics, or tracking scripts.
The page does load a font from Google Fonts, which may see your IP address as part
of that request.
Discord bot: when you play /throwracle, the bot
stores your Discord user ID together with:
- your throw history for the current day's puzzle (so your game can resume if you close and reopen it), and
- aggregate stats: games played, games won, current/max streak, and a histogram of how many throws your wins took.
The bot never reads message content, server member lists, or anything beyond the slash command and button interactions needed to run the game — it requests no privileged Discord intents.
Where it's stored
Bot data is stored in a single file on the server that runs the bot, which we operate. It is not shared with, or sold to, any third party. It is used only to run the game (rebuilding your in-progress puzzle, tracking your streak).
How long we keep it
Bot data is kept indefinitely so your streak and stats persist across days. You can request deletion at any time — see Contact below.
Your choices
- Web app: clear your browser's local storage for this site to erase your local stats.
- Discord bot: contact us to have your stored throw history and stats deleted, or remove the bot from your server (this stops new interactions but does not by itself erase already-stored data — ask us to delete it).
Children's privacy
Throwracle is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them beyond what's described above (a Discord user ID and gameplay stats).
Changes
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
